Complimentary Florals

Hey Guys!

As soon as I walked into school today I was greeted with compliments. One staff member said that she thought I always looked nice and even when she think’s she’s dressed up she feel underdressed! Well, what can I say? I do aim to please. If I was a real teacher I wouldn’t have half as much time to prep my outfit the night before, test out my hair do and get all dolled up every morning. I’m just making the most of my time before I go out into the real world.

This is a snazzy new top from the H&M summer sale. I have ALWAYS wanted this style of top but I never ever managed to se one in a shop. I saw the EVERYWHERE on people in the high street, but it was like they all shopped in a mysterious and secret crypt that would never show itself to Row. But aha! I found one and in no other than my favourite colour an attractive pink. I was going to wear this over a navy body con dress but it’s actually one of those tops that is longer that I remember. It gets me every time… So I switched it up and tucked in into a pair of fabulously floral trews. They include similar tones of pink and an array of shade to match. My pale headpiece is a nice flowery contrast to the dark trousers and matches with my pale pink shoes and pearly necklace.

My lips are doused in my ultimate lipstick, which will forever go with any outfit and I shall never tire of, BarryM 145. My nails are looking suave in Papaya from the BarryM Gelly Nails collection.

Yesterday was finally the day Jessie J unveiled her monster collaboration track, Bang Bang. With verses from Ariana Grande AND Nicki Minaj it truly makes for one special mix. The combination of big voices from Jessie and Ariana make this smash a proper belter. The chorus is scattered with innuendoes really, but golly it's catchy! As soon as the big-band sounding chorus starts, with all the trumpets and shenanigans, we'll all be going 'Bang, Bang into the room!'

A Holiday Wardrobe: 3 Looks From Quiz Clothing

Hey Guys!

Whilst perusing the Aladdin's cave of garments Quiz Clothing have to offer at the moment, it struck me that (as well as finding myself wanting it ALL) it would make such a great holiday wardrobe. I've got a lot of loving for all their beautiful Kimonos at the moment #justsaying. I've put together 3 lovely looks which are must haves in your suitcase this summer (only if you're going to a warm, sunny place though. You might get a wee bit chilly if you're venturing on an expedition to Antarctica...)

Kimono - Top Shorts - Shoes Bracelets

The most important thing when chilling on a plane for umpteen hours is comfort. If you've decided to go with the tightest skinny jeans and a bralet top that is on the rise every 10 minutes, you've really brought that upon yourself. I suggest these little lace shorts, which won't cut into you as you wriggle into the best napping position. A pretty patterned top gives the effect you've tried hard to perfect this look and the bracelets add a little pizzaz. This is the perfect part of the trip with put on as many of those gorgeous-kimonos-that-wouldn't-fit into-your-suitcase-OR-hand-luggage on!

Kimono - Shoes - Shorts - Top

When taking a trip to the beach or pool, the last thing you want is to be in your best ball gown and matching boa and then dragging a massive bag with a change of clothes in. It's just a recipe for disaster! I think these easy going cut off shorts are the perfect slip-on-slip-off wear if you fancy taking a quick dip. Jelly shoes are a must on holiday, if only to emote the childhood memories (#demfeelsman). Finally for a wonder around the beach this crochet top is a super snazzy cover up when thrown on onto of your bikini.

So I'll admit I just couldn't decide which one garment I'd want to wear to dinner on holiday! But a good, relaxing holiday always entails more than one snazzy evening out so why not pack all three look just to be safe. These accessories would look amazing with any of the pieces, making more room for bikinis (obvs need a new one everyday, right?)! I chose the brilliant white platform sandals as a chunky heel is always more comfortable than a little stiletto. They'd make the classier dresses look a little cool combining a lady-like appeal with less elegant but still fabulous footwear. The aqua earrings would match the playsuit beautifully, adding a little bit of sparkle to the look. But also be a great hint of colour to the monochrome dress.

Wow, with all this advice you'd never guess that the Row Bow clan holiday in the cold rainy depths of Scotland, would you? Happy Holidays!

Bloomin' Beautiful Butterflies

Hey Guys!

Kylie at M&Co is 25! Say Whaaat?

I was recently contacted by a lovely lady Kylie ( the 9-13+ years teen lable at M&Co) who informed me that the chic clothing line was turning 25 this summer. Really? 25? It doesn’t look a day over 13+, Hehe! The people at Kylie are hoping to put together a scrapbook of images and photos of Kylie clothing from the past 25 years. I sent in a few of my more recent look including this one I wore during the second week of my work at the primary school. I teamed the dress with a cropped denim jacket which I’ve had since I was4 years old. Woo-hoo, I’ve been a M&Co fan since the Mackay’s days! For those of you interested the necklace is from Primark, my lips have been coloured in with a pretty pink BarryM Gelly Lip Crayon and my nails are adorned with Models Own Blueberry smelly nail polish.

I must get round to digging up some images from when I was actually between age 9 and 13 since that’s who the clothes are meant for… I’m pretty sure that, as embarrassing as it sounds, my love for Kylie clothes started when I was about 14, I think. That’s when I began my regular hauls in the store. But I’m sure I’ll be able to rustle something up! Here's the tweet Kylie put out with my lovely little look.

Here's proof of the age 4-5 jacket!

In other news, it was a very exciting day at the Primary school today. We all know how much I love literature and that I find there’s nothing I like more that to sit in a grossly comfortable chair and indulge in a really thrill-seeking novel. Right? Urrrm, perhaps this isn’t the most realistic description of myself. The last book I read the whole way through was in Year 4, The Lottie Project by Jacqueline Wilson (not much of it went in though since the only thing I remember is the main character, Lottie I guess, spelt ‘anniversary’ wrong on a cake. Cool story bro…). I didn’t even finish To Kill A Mockingbird for GCSE and chose to answer the exam question on a section I hadn’t even read. I really am one marvel of a woman! Anyway back to the point- the class got invited to a partnership school to attend a talk with Michael Morpurgo! Not that I have any idea about any of his books, apart from Warhorse that name got thrown up a couple of times. But it was pretty cool to see him do his stuck with the kids. Since his name has been kicking around since my own primary school days I had this impression of an old, fragile man who enjoyed writing and being stationary at his special writing desk. Both the class teacher and I were expecting a very serious chap but were expectantly met with a very animated man who was extremely interactive with the children. They adored him reading one of his few shorter stories and he read with great light and shade in his delivery. I even enjoyed myself and I don’t like anything to do with the idea of books or reading!

Just Peachy

Hey Guys!

I realise that I’ve managed to squeeze this dress into 3 different posts over the past 3 months. That’s pretty good going- even for me! The dress itself is a little tricky to alter the appearance of (I did manage to change the brown belt for a black belt here though), however I’ve shown 3 different hair & make-up treatments that can be paired to compliment the dress. Today’s look is a little brasher compared to the effortless looks previously posted. I scraped the top of my hair up into a 3-year old pineapple kind of ‘do. But placing the pretty jewelled bow clip at the front makes it just a tad more grown up. Due to my big luscious curls it create A LOT of volume and makes the top ponytail look super long and beefy! Working well with the ‘out there hair’ is my new Collection 2000 deep red lipstick in shade, Gothic Glam-Seduction 1. In the tube it looks a lot darker than on my face in these images. Since we’ve finally reached the ‘get ya legs out’ kind of weather (Congrats people! We’ve all come so far together through the rubbish winter. HeHe!) I chose pale shoes since it would have been such an eyesore with dark dollie shoes at the bottom of my beautifully pasty legs.

My (not so) little doggie-pops is such a pro in front of the camera!

I’ve gone back to my Disney loving roots and had Selena Gomez’ album When The Sun Goes Down on, which was released back in her Selena Gomez and the Scene days. I still think that was a pretty groovy name for a band. I don’t think I’ve ever listened to the full album before because had My Dilemma been welcomed into my life previously all my dilemmas would never have occurred! We Own the Night is such a chilled summery tune with the added bonus of Pixie Lott on backing vocals.
