Swag On Row Bow

Hey Guys!

In this sunny, shiny weather I love to whip out every crop top that I own and wear them in quick succession throughout the week. This look I wore to work but it would be great for a fun day out or look fab when worn for one of those last few days of term at college or Uni! Hang on in there, you're on the home straight now!

I'm not gonna lie, I do feel this ensemble is a bit swagtastic for little Row. I think its due to the baseball jacket and chunky silver chain around my neck, yo, do y' get me? HeHe! But with the colourings being so pretty with all the pinks and purples it quickly brings back the girly vibe of a Row look. The top is cropped at a length that just skims the top of my skirt which is perfect for those who want to flash some flesh but not in a nearly-naked kind of way. I kept the skirt up with a metallic silver belt which matches in a rather swell manner with my silver chain necklace. I'm so chuffed I found this necklace in a charity shop because I wear it sooo often. It looked like the Britsh Heart Foundation has their own line of accessories to make more donations from since there were several of these with the same packaging as other items next to them. The silver tones are also carried through to my hair clip, wit pretty sliver jewels in the middle of the bow.

'What are you waiting for? What are you waiting for? Tell me what are you waiting for!' The Saturdays holler throughout their new banger, What Are You Waiting For? (who'd have guessed?!). I cannot describe how amazeballs I'm finding this song. I get so upset when the song finishes...But then I manage to find that replay button and all is right again. I'm thinking this could possibly score the girls a second number one because it fits in really well with the dance sounds of the charts. It starts a little Neon Jungle-y then turns into a proper party bopper!

Pyjama Day

Hey Guys!

Sometimes I totally get the lazy day feeling. When you just want to sit and chill in comfy clothes and not really achieve anything substantial with your day. However, even on these days I never ever ever spend the day in my pyjamas! I feel like a naughty child if I go downstairs in my pyjamas. I just feels so un-natural ! But I do like to indulge in dressing in pyjama style trousers. I bought these last summer from H&M.

Even though I doesn’t look particularly daring for me it’s I feel this outfit looks a little dis-combobulated. Obviously its not created with a dizzying combination of patterns and colours, but I usually like my pallets to match. The continuing colour through the look is white, which is the perfect colour to be cool in summer.  To me its really the orange that stands out, but its great to have an accent colour in summer looks.

Since it was a hot and sunny day I wore my mint, circle sunglasses and new snazzy new shoes. I used o adore my jelly shoes when I was little and without fail I would ALWAYS take them on holiday and wear them around home and the beach. Now I have my own adult pair of heeled jelly shoes, yay!

French Manicure painted all by myself, clever clogs!

And the pièce de résistance? Some Orange Lipstick!

As I’m sat here writing this, I have George Ezra Budapest playing which although has been floarting around the top ten for a few weeks, I’m only just starting to get into. I’m a little slow on this bandwagon. I’ve heard other stuff from George Ezra like Cassy O and Get Lonely With Me which I rather like too.

H&M and New Look Summer Haul

Hey Guys!

So as well as Primark I may have splurged in H&M and also a little in New Look. This isn't even all of it! I've since been back to H&M and picked up more things. What am I like?

H&M

Ribbed Cropped Long Sleeved Top, £7 SALE
I am such a fan of long sleeved crop tops. They are perfect for days when the weather can't really make up it's mind. They are a great transitional piece over the change in seasons, since they could be worn over dresses in cooler months.

Floral Leggings, £7 SALE
These leggings are more like trousers sine they are a bit thicker than regular leggings, but they still have great flexibility and stretch to them.
Two Tone Trousers, £4 SALE
I don't really wear many trousers that aren't jeans or chino-types. These are great for smarter occasions and flatter very nicely with the two-tone detail.

New Look

Scribble Print Cardigan, £7 (I think)
It would appear I have gangly arms, but you wouldn't notice until I put long sleeves on. But this cardi is the perfect fit and clings to my arm from my shoulder to my wrist, just like it should do!

Monochrome Striped Top, £4 SALE
This super simple striped tee is actually in a size 14, which is a bit bigger than I'd usually take. I like it because it means its nice and baggy for the warmer months.

Black Midi Skirt, £7
These final two pieces are from a little on lie shop I did back in May. I bought my little brown chelsea boots in that order too. The skirt is accidentally from Tall section, hence why its so long!

Floral Jersey Peplum Top, £5
The pattern on this top is super pretty using a mixture of bold and paler tomes of pink with green thrown in for good measure. Now that I've worn it with leggings, I'm a bit stumped how else to style it. Any ideas?

Primark Blue Summer Haul

Hey Guys!

Here are a few items I have recently picked up from Primark. I am a sale addict, even in Primark, but I did grab one full priced item. I went for a rather blue theme, looks like it'll be a blue summer for Row. I've styled the pieces very basically, so I can go all out for the outfit posts.

Mock Denim Jumpsuit, £7 SALE
When in college my buddy was trying to persuade me to grab a very similar style of denim jumpsuit in Primark. So remembering her wise suggestion I decided to bite the bullet and pop it in my shopping basket. I LOVE it! Amazing for chill out days where you might pop out because there is an all over print so it still makes an impact.
Graphic Print Trousers, £11
I have been on a desperate hunt for some light-weight, elasticated, harem-style printed trousers. Little did I know that Primark's summer collection was where I needed to look all along! I wore these bobby-dazzlers to my birthday dinner, which I posted about here.
Midi Length Full Skirt, £1 SALE
#totalbarg
Jungle Print Dress, £5 SALE
The straps are very long on this, the total opposite to my typical tall shoulder problem! Perfect for beachy weather as it's only made of a slip and a chiffon top layer. Perhaps needs a few adjustments and layers to be suited to British Weather.

Swing Dress, £5 SALE
I adore the shape and colour of the dress because it feels so girly even though its a very loose fit. I wore this dress in my post here, Ocean Blue.

Woof!

Happy Birthday to Ya!

Hey Guys!

A few weeks ago it was my birthday and to celebrate I decided that I wanted to go out for a nice dinner at my favourite restaurant with the fam. We hadn't been to the place for soooo long, but I do love a good spanish tapas every now and then!

These trousers are a new purchase from Primark. They were the only full priced thing I picked up in my recent haul! I adore the print because it's so loud but due to the colourings it's not garish. They are made out of a thin satin material, so are perfect for a relaxed summer look. Since they are so very super snazzy and bring the party to my outfit, I kept my top plain with a slightly see through cream blouse. You can just see my black bra peering through underneath, this was an intentional move. Cheeky! I managed to squeeze in two birthday presents into the look having just received them on the day. The beautiful scarf was a gift from Auntie Val. Isn't it so delightful and fantastic for a lightweight summer scarf? The pretty silver anklet was a present from Beth. I was beginning to check out any anklets that took my fancy and before you know it I had a gorge one dangling around my foot!

Kyla La Grange is one of about 5 artists on my iPod who I would consider is actually a creditable artist. We all know I have a super cheesy taster in music and I'm basically a 12 year old fan girl (not so deep) inside. I found Kyla a couple of years ago when here haunting tune I Could Be was the free song of the week on iTunes. Then I used her as my muse for my Art Foundation final proj. Now she has a new shiny album out and, although I haven't heard it all yet, I am quite liking The Knife. I mentioned Cut Your Teeth in a previous post and this song follows in a similar ghostly rave idea with the intro using Caribbean drums. I LOVE the music video and the whole pastel day-glow aesthetic of the album. #beaut

Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Polka Dot Dress

Hey Guys!

What an amazingly beautiful day today is! The sun is gifting everyone with bold beams throughout the day and it's made me all the happier for doing so. Personally, I spent time in yesterday glorious weather working at an EA Games corporate event. I was in charge of the spa treatments and booking appointments. The Head Organiser of the event thought I'd most enjoy that and I totes did!

Now if you're a clever-clogs you'll be able to tell exactly when this photo was taken, and, no, I'm not ashamed I've just been busy with other posts. Whilst reviewing these images I've realised how well all the colour combinations work. I love the bold yellow of the daffodils! This is a look I wore to work a short time ago and it's probably one of my most relaxed looks. I usually go all out and get really dressed up and amaze all the kiddies, mummies and daddies. But I like this chilled look with one of my favourite styles for spring/summer- the midi length. In all honestly, I am probably a little on the short side to wear a midi-length piece without heels. However, I reckon that adding the cropped denim jacket and long scarf creates an illusion that I can just about get away with!

Union J have recently debuted little ditty from their upcoming second album, Tonight (We Live Forever) and I'm thinking it's a step in the right direction for them as a band. Look at me go all Music Manager on them, but I really think they needed to develop their musicallings to be more appealing to a wider audience. This time, I heard in an interview, they want to release more singles before the album drops, which it totally the right idea boys. Silly Management! This new tune starts out with a bit of acoustic guitar and and sounds a little Gabrielle Aplin-esque but then it goes into an anthemic 'it's all good' summer song.

Ocean Blue

Hey Guys!

This is a little look from my third and final day of holiday shopping. I just picked up a few things from H&M and New Look since they had a few little sales on and I'm like a magnet to those bad boys!

This is a new dress from my Primark haul, it's a lovely textured swing dress. I don't normally go for pieces like this that have a baggier shape to them. I think they tend to drown me, but because this dress is short it is smaller and therefore appears less frumpy on me. I wore it with a classy square scarf I got from a Vintage shop a year ago. I was interviewing the lady working there, for a Uni proj, and she thought me and my friend were so lovely she let us pick up a scarf for free. Yay! I love the combination of colours and the design includes a big Eiffle Tower. I previously wore Heidi Braids when I was interning at The Sunday Time Style Magazine in this post, but here I decided to wear a centre parting with the plaits. However, I think I just need to get over the fact centre partings are really not my thing!

Turns out the shopping centre Ocean Terminal, really is on the Ocean!

Lovely Livingston

Hey Guys!

When most people go on holiday I always anticipate they'll be enjoying glorious sun beams warming their cockles, a luxurious beach covered in soft sand and local cultural delicacies. But as my fam decided Scotland would be the host of Row Bow's hol every year, I don't find myself surrounded by any of the divine beaches aforementioned. There is one beach but it always rains when I go, and unless I want to build a sun castle I'm not going to be doing a lot else. Definitely NOT the place for sunbathing!

So today was another shopping day. WooHoo! Ain't no beaches gon' satisfy me, just empty cashiers I can donate my wonga to, hehe! Livingston is a majorly humongous shopping centre with a designer outlet there too. I was on a handbag hunt since that's what I asked for for my birthday. After looking for hours in soooo many shops I got really bored of every handbag and decided Primark would make me happy. I'll have haul pictures from that coming up soon. Keep those eyes peeled!

In keeping with the casual Row attire for the week I wore this lovely pale peach collared, skater style dress. I wore it during my work at Style Magazine here, but I tried to alter the styling a little here. It was quite tricky because there isn't a lot else I can do with the dress when the weather was exactly the same as before. Maybe next time I'll brave bare legs, ooh cheeky!

I did change the shoes, although they are still black dolly shoes. My old ones, which are possibly not even 2 years old, have decided to install air conditioning for your feet (i.e they have nice big holes around the tootsies!). So these are my new ones which I'm trying to gradually break in. They rub around the back which I have NEVER experienced with shoes and I'm not really sure how to deal with. Really my feet are too little for dolly shoes so it was a nightmare trying to find the right size. These were £9.99 from Shoezone.

The super sunny weather I've been basking in recently requires some super sunny tunes to complement it. I had a yearning for Carly Rae Jepsens's Kiss album and I've come to the conclusion that it is the perfect summer album. Every song is so feel good, I literally can't contain myself from jumping and fist pumping. The only thing that could top that is a slow motion effect on my moves to give me the complete music video feel!

Sorry I'm Shopping

Hey Guys!

By going on our family hol a few months earlier than usual, it means the 'things to do' list becomes a lot shorter. Normally there is a big festival on with lots of book events (not really my thing), or performances (that's more like it). But since it's not on the only other activity I could possibly part-take in was... SHOPPING! Naturally. I've definitely been a bad influence on Mumma Bow as I always drag her to the shops, a.k.a my second home. She's even started trying my 'shopping in the kids section' technique. I've taught her well, hehe!

The shops are a short walk from where we were staying, so it would have been rude not to go in. We even managed a pub lunch, woohoo! I tried to keep it pretty caj throughout my holiday week, because sometimes it's nice to not look so try hard. Even thought I do totally adore overdressing, keeping it real means I don't have to be so conscious of flashing, or something getting caught or leaving my rings in the loos... Today I chose a deliciously snug cricket style jumper with super soft leggings. I added deep rose tinted accessories such as the scarf, lipstick and my watch. The boots are a similar tone even though the hue is different. I couldn't go without a little bit of sparkle so I wrapped a silver chain around my neckline and popped in a beautiful bow with crystal-like details to it.

Cher Lloyd's sophomore album, Sorry I'm Late, has finaaaalllly been released! Albeit only in America since we UK Brats have to wait until the end of July, but it does mean I can stream it to me hearts content until I can get my mitts on a copy. It defo sounds a lot truer to the artist Cher has developed into, if that makes sense? Her first album was a little forced and made her out to be a swag tactic chav, but she really isn't! (Appaz thats why she departed Simon Cowell's record label). I like Alone With Me and Just Be Mine swell as Sirens which I'm not sure I will ever tire of. Ever.
