The Lipstick Tag

Hey Guys!

I found this Lipstick Tag on Kirstie's blog A Yellow Brick Blog. I love wearing my lipsticks, and collecting them too apparently! I've never done a tag post before so this will be a new experience for all involved...

How many lipsticks do you own?
25 Lipsticks, 13 Lipglosses (better buy another one to even that out!),
1 Lip Crayon, 1 Lip Satin Pen and 4 Lipblams (+ a dry skin balm which I use on my lips at nighttime so it kinda counts).

What was your first ever lipstick?
When I was about 10 I'd just got back into my super pink girly phase (I say phase, more like life as I'm still lovin' it), after having 9-12 months of insisting turquoise was my favourite colour and I was a Tomboy. Mumma Bow's Auntie and Uncle gave me a selection of Pink gifts for my birthday, including a vivid pink Turkish Hip Scarf. In this selection was my very first lipstick! No 17 Shine On Lipstick in shade Sweet Sizzle. It was a sheer, glimmer baby pink shade that was very thin to apply. Not really my thing now, but still appreciated back then.
Some of my most worn Lipsticks

What is your favourite brand for lipstick?
I'm a BarryM girl. Some poeple don't like how thick they feel to put on, but I love a really bold, block colour lip. Although I did splash out on a Maybelline one over Summer and that it devine to put on and wear. Lovely Jubbly!

The names if you fancy checking out the colours. (I think the worn away one is BarryM 145)

What is your most worn lipstick?
BarryM Maybe 145? I can't tell the number's worn off. I feel like it's the Row Bow way of a glamours Red Lip. A bold pink pout is quite different and not many people attempt to brave it at a party.

What is your favourite finish?
I prefer Matte finishes as I feel safe that they are going to last. I used to have a terrible habit o checking my little mirror (or reflective surface) every 10 minutes to make sure my lipstick hadn't made its way across my face!

What was the last lipstick you bought?
My last lipstick was a double purchase from BarryM. I bought Shades 146 and 155, even though they are pretty similar, I couldn't help myself. I've been on a year long search for the perfect barbie, baby pink tone of lippy. Even these two are not quite what I wanted, too much of a blue tone to them I think. On my hand they seem perfect-o but on my lips it's a different story.

How many lip products do you currently have in your bag? (including glosses and balms)
Currently I'm sporting 5 lip products in my handbag. 3 Lipsticks which are BarryM 145?, which I always carrying my little pink lipstick case shown in case of a glamorous emergency, L.A Colours Lipstick in Luscious Wine (from the 99p shop, naughty!) and Barbara Daily Gypsy. I also have my Primark Moisturising Lip Crayon for a light application of colour for chilled days and  Vaseline Lip Balm Rosy Lips. Although I have been using Vaseline this year my fave Lipbalm is Miss Ballantyne-which I have just stocked up on. Yay!

The Handbag Lip Product Collection

What lipstick do your use to rock a red lip?
For a truely rocking red, big and bold, I'd grab my Mavala lipstick in Rubis 518. If I want a little vampy dark red I'll go with the 99p L.A Colours Lipstick in
Luscious Wine.

How do you store your lipsticks?
When I'm at home home, I have a little box for my most used lippys and then a flatter bigger box with the others in. Using clear boxes means you can always see all your options! But when I'm at Uni home I have a hand embellished (I did it myself!) make-up bag holding all the lipsticks and a few mascaras that don't make it into the handbag.

What lip products are you currently lusting after?
I'm still on that hunt for the perfect rosy, barbie, pale pink. But until I get that I'm lusting after a deep, rich purple which I have seen the new BarryM collection has. Cheeky, Cheeky Row Bow! Bye, Bye, Student Loan!

Woo-Hoo, that was fun!

Pink Gradient Nails

Hey Guys!
Time for the final instalment of Row Bow’s Uni House Christmas Dinner now. Sad times I know! These are the nails I flaunted during the night and also the rest of the week. I chose to create a beautiful gradient of pink nail polishes. I hope this proves that I really don’t need anymore pink polishes to add to my collection. Just for future reference…

Ta-Dah!

Thumb- Hibiscus, Natural collection
Index- Bright Fuchsia or Fuchsia Pink, Calvin Klein
Middle- Bublegum, Maybelline
Ring- Pink Ribbon Sheer, Bobbi Brown
Baby- Coconut 108, Dior

Tux-ing Up

Hey Guys!

I’ve you’ve ventured over here to see a continuation of yesters post, you’re in luck. This is a little closer look at what I wore for Christmas Dinner with my Uni House. I can’t believe I didn’t stand properly in one shot. I’m side on in all of them. So I took some bedroom shots especially for you (that sounds kinky)!

The boys said they were all going to ‘tux up’, so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to put my version of a little tux. But then when I came down stairs, all jazzed up, they were in jackets and jeans. Still pretty dapper but not quite a tux, eh? Oh well, I felt fab and strutted about in my Kylie Playsuit all evening. It made going to the loo a little tricky as the bow around my neck had to be undone then re-done at the end. But nothing was going to stop me finally wearing it.  I kept my hair big, bouncy and curly with my full fringe in. I felt a little like the 2013 Yves Saint Laurent ad campaign. Just needed a wide brimmed fendora and I no one would realise it wasn’t me modelling, HeHe! I LOVE these heels; they are so comfortable and easy to walk in. Apart form on my kitchen floor- smoother than it looks. Deceiving… I didn’t wear any jewellery as the bow around my neck it quite snazzy in itself. I did receive a lovely, delicate heart bracelet from my Jessy as a Secret Santa gift which I love so much I’m wearing all the time now! I wore bright pink lipstick to math my nails.

Christmas Dinner

Hey Guys,
I feel it is finally the time to introduce you all to my housemates. I’ve been living in London for 3 months now and I truly can’t believe these guys have put up with me for that long! For me, London it TOTALLY different to home because there is a bus stop t the end of my road a train station no too far away and a tube station in the centre of the ‘area’. Just give me an airport, then nothing could stop me! Whereas, at home there are deer, cows and a bus that runs once every half hour until 7. Then social lives are cut off! We had our House Christmas Dinner this evening and I thought I’d share a little insight into how the cool kids at Number 32 do it!

Pre-Dinner Group Shot. (Matt, Jessy, Tahi, Tom, Iain, and the House Hottie. Oops, I mean myself Row Bow, hehe!)

Flaunting what we’ve got. I’m sorry we can’t help being so attractive-it’s a gift!

The Row Bow Show! (#copyrightingthat!)

Hotties of the Third Floor

Before

…And After. Yummy Yummy in my tummy!

The evening’s entertainment consisted of charades (which I’ll add me and Iain won. Woo-Hoo!), a victory Macarena and the post-it note Who am I? game. I know we are WILD students!

Look out for following posts on my outfit and nails.

Pretty Presentation

Hey Guys!

Today I had to give a presentation all about an online subculture, Otherkin. You can check out my groups efforts here on the Red Lashes & BlueLips tumblr. We’re soo hi-tech, hehe! I even managed to pop up a cheeky selfie or two using images from this blog. We had to create an informative response from our own group lead research into a subculture that hadn't gone mainstream yet. I'm not gonna lie, I feel like the other groups hadn’t found as non-mainstream one as we had. Mainly because I’d heard of both of them and I am a Mainstream Princess! So I yester’s tutorial I got a 2:2 and for today’s presentation my group got a VERY high 2:1. We think the only reason we didn’t get a first is because we’re only first years. It was very much deserved by MOST members of our group, shall we say…

As it’s the last week of term I’m trying not to wear too many separate garments, as that just makes more washing and packing for me. #effort! So I chose to wear the same blue bodycon dress as yesterday but style it up a little different. Instead today, I wrapped a wide elasticated belt around the middle and complemented it with a silver statement necklace. Then I popped my sailboat print cardigan from Kylie, at M&Co and away I went. I like dressing up when I’m presenting or have an important day so I slipped on the heeled long boots. Lovely Jubbly!

Trendy Tutorial

Hey Guys!

In Uni today we had one-to-one tutorials about out first major project we handed in. It was called Fashion is Dead- which sounds a little extreme and is a massive statement, but it was quite fun really. This was the first go I’d had at fashion forecasting. It’s a lot harder than it sounds, much trickier than forecasting the weather (although I’ve never done that either, so I what do I know!). We had to predict a trend for 2016 Spring/Summer OR 2016/17 Autumn/Winter. I chose the latter and went with marbled red, yellow and oranges to reflect the surface pattern of Jupiter. That might sound like a totally random idea, but there is a whole sketchbook of research that makes this trend marginally more plausible. Turns out the proj was fine and dandy and I was estimated a little higher than average 2:2, not bad for a first go!

Here is my trendy tutorial outfit. It appears my ‘winter wardrobe’ is predominantly navy blue and black. Those colours appear in most of my winter looks, just like this one! I lifted the darker tones with the white base to the striped (awks, just found out I’ve been spelling striped wrong for, like, my ENTIRE life!) top and the silver and aqua necklace. The blue bodycon skirt is actually a dress but it adds an extra invisible layer if I wear it as a skirt. In winter looking good tends to come second to being warm. Otherwise you’ve got a bad case of whingey Row on your hands which isn’t fun for anyone involved!

A Little Nail Art

Hey Guys!

These are my current nails which I am sporting as I write this post. Crazy, I know! I have used a pale pink base from the brand 'by Terry'. I've never heard of this brand before but the polish is really nice to work with. The pictures have made the baby pink seem much more orangey and almost like the BarryM Papaya polish. In real life the colour is a lot more of a pretty, girly baby pink. I then whipped out the nail art pens and doodled on top. I have learnt that if you are right handed and trying to use your left hand to draw the doodle, move your right hand about and keep the nail art pen still. A revolution in my nail art life!

I will admit I am not wearing a base coat. Shock horror, naughty Row Bow! But there is a method behind my madness. I have been using clear nail polishes as base and top coats on my nails for YEARS! However it only dawned on me the other day that this could be the reason my nail varnish ALWAYS chips. Without fail it chips, particularly when in washing my hair. So I have gone straight to the coloured polish this time with a top coat to protect it. And so far so good. Hardly any chipping, Woo-hoo! Maybs I should just invest in a proper base coat? Especially before I forget and just slap on the green and blue polishes God forbid!

Christmas Elf Row

Hey Guys!

This is the most festive I've felt since the beginning of December. I know there are many colour combinations that aren't meant to be seen together. There's pink and red, black and brown but then I wasn't sure if it was blue and green or red and green should never be seen. I always thought it was the latter as they are Christmas colours. But since we're in the Christmas time of advent I feel fully fledged to make the most of my red ad green clothes.

I started this look with my dark green  peplum dress from New Look. I find the peplum dress more flattering than the peplum tops on me. What do you like? I then added my red jumper which has lovely jewelled shoulders for an extra bit of Christmas glitz! As I did with this look also for work, I decided to fold the jumper underneath and inwards on itself so that I created a short length for it. This meant the lovely peplum flare could be seen and be part f my look. I used a think black belt to fix this alteration into place. Otherwise it would have fallen out from all the bounding about I do at work!

I kept the jewellery simple mainly because I don't want to be fiddling with it or worry about loosing it when I have lots of other things to take note of, as we work up to our show date! So I just had a delicate little gold beaded ring with jewelled details. I was in a little pickle over which lipstick I should wear. Dark red or bright red? It was a tough decision but I wet for bright red to match the top.
Do I look glam enough to do the mopping of floors or what? Because that's what I ended up doing after a silly kiddie
spilt nearly his whole bottle of smoothie in the middle of the room!

Earlier in the year we heard the first release from Neon Jungle, Trouble. Now they have a newer tune which sticks to the electronic background sounds but I think might be their attempt at a slower sound. It's called Braveheart.

Ombré Nails

Hey Guys!

Here is another ombré nail attempt of mine. I used two BarryM colours 'Bright Purple' and 'Gelly Hi-Shine Watermelon'. I used the exact technique demonstrated here. Check it out and you could end up with bad boys like these! I think that because I painted the purple on first, as its the lighter I the two. It helps them blend together better because the green has purple under tones to it.

Top Tunes of Twenty Thirteen

Hey Guys!

Something a little different here for the #bigblogmasproject. I'm going to give you a quick run down of my totally top tunes of 2013, since the year is drawing to a close. I've put useful music video links to each of the videos for your little ears to have a listen to, and see if you agree with my opinion.

Can't Hold Us- Macklemore and Ryan Lewis ft. Ray Dalton
Without wanting to start every little song review with I love this song, I really do love this one. It's been out since just before spring 2013 (in the UK that is) and do you know what? I've almost cracked the first half... of the first verse rap in the song. It's one of those cases where in my head I can keep up with the pace really well. But when I actually put it into practise, nu-uh, not so good. From beginning to end, the song just builds which is a must if you're going to make it onto Row Bow's playlist.

The Other Side-Jason Derulo
2012 wasn't really JD's year what with the broken neck, cancelling the while tour and all. But boy oh boy, did he come back with a tuuuuuune! I'm not gonna lie this is probs the only one I like that he's actually released this year. (Don't get me started in Trumpets...!) The song is so lovely (lyrically) but also has a funky little dancey beat so it doesn't get overly soppy.

What About Us- The Saturdays
I was super chuffed when I heard that our lovely Sats girls were heading state side. Supported by E! with their own reality show on the network I really thought they might follow in the steps of The Wanted and One Direction. I'm not quite sure they hit those heights but their debut US release is a proper little party cracker! And we all love to pretend we're Sean Paul sometimes don't we?!

Waiting All Night- Rudimental ft Ella Eyre
This will forever and always be Rudimental's best track in my eyes (followed extremely closely but Right Here with Foxes). I think that Ella's vocals are bloomin' marvellous and, it might sound weird, but matches with the power of the trumpets supremely.

Come and Get It- Selena Gomez
To be honest I think the real reason this song has appeared in this list is hugely down to the hot hot hot (did I mention hot?) video. The Selenator looks soooo beautiful. I love the all of the visuals but, obvz, the styling the most! However the song was a great introduction to a more grown up musical direction for Gomzzz. Totally flawless and made the breaking the Disney image look easy. Whereas it is apparent certain others have found it slightly trickier...

Clarity- Zedd ft Foxes
2013 was the year I fell in love with Foxes. I'm delving into her older stuff now but I do love the feature vocals she has done this year. We've had Fall Out Boy, Rudimental and Zedd amongst others I'm sure. I was first enlightened to Zedd via the MTV VMA awards. He was nominated for something or other and when I saw his clip with this song I made it my mission to hear the whole song. Natch it wasn't too hard, thanks Google!

Little White Lies- One Direction
So, no list of music is compete without a special 1D mention. Whether a positive or a negative list they always wriggle their way in! This is an album track from their latest album,' Midnight Memories'. I love the almost dubsteppy/house vibe the boys delve into. To be honest the album is full of quite an eclectic mixture if sounds but this is ma fave.

Drum Roll Please.....

And the winner for Row Bow's all time fave song of the year (even though it was only released in September) issssss.....

MKS -Flatline
Yeah buddy! I was super stoked (do people still use that word?) for the return of the Sugababes. But in their original line up they now make MKS. (I wish I could be that creative). The collaboration of the drums and Ohhs & Ahhs gives a great tribal essence towards the middle 8. It's much 'cooler' than the most recent selection of Sugababes and has a similar vein to the early Sugababes music.

I feel like a bad mother who forgets her children. I'm sure I've left many of my favourite songs out of the list, for example where's Union J's mention? But these are the ones I could still happily listen to even after a year of them! Now I feel like an even worse mother who has not only chosen her favourite children, but left the ones she didn't like so much at the school gate all sad and lonely. Ma bad, hehe!

It's Simply Black and White

Hey Guys!

If we keep this between the two of us I'm sure no on will notice I'm a wee bit late on posting this, Shh. There's nothing like a little bit of cheeky back-dating! I have been writing an exhibition review essay, so I have a legit reason, honest! I went to the V&A exhibition, 'Club to Catwalk: London Fashion through the 1980s'. Bit weird but you'll have to wait until I become a fully fledged published author before you get to hear all of my opinions, HeHe!

This is my look for work from last weekend. I work at a children's drama group, so I don't have a uniform. I just need to be able to prance about easily and be able to move as quick as the kiddies in my outfit! So I usually go for a skirt/dress or leggings based look. I've worn this dress (from Kylie at M&Co I might add!) before here, when I added a couple of colourful pieces to the look. But this time I have stuck to a very black and white tonal appearance. I chose to wear the baggy white jumper top over the dress to give a more interesting silhouette. Due to the lower neckline of the jumper, it meant I could pull out the dress' collar and rest it over the top. #lovemycollars! I forgot to wear a slip underneath the dress so it kept clinging to my tights, so let that be a lesson- Never Forget The Slip! I have a polka dot skirt which this look would have worked better without the slip underneath. But I forgot. I do a pretty good job pretending to be perfect but that was one of my off days, HeHe! After having a little rummage in my jewellery collection I found this cute teddy bear necklace. I think it's my sisters, and she'll probs only find out now hat I was wearing it. Oh Well, Soz Babes! And of course I'm wearing signature Row Bow bright pink lippy to make those precious pouts extra pretty!

Glamming it up on Tuesday

Hey Guys!

I don't know why but on Tuesday's I always seem to put marginally more effort into my appearance than any other day I go into Uni. I think it might have something to do with the fact that I don't start until 2pm on a Tuesday, therefore I have enough time for a lie-in AND sufficient time to prep my face.

I'm quite a fan of teaming blue and orange together, as all us art students know they scientifically go well together! The top has been attacked by my own art ways and been bleach splattered to achieve the patchy effect. I added the pearl necklace around the collar as it picks up on the bleached area tones. It also adds a little glamour and lady like essence to the look, as does the bold red lipstick. Because the collar has the lovely pearl detail teamed with it I chose to scrape back my hair into a textured sock bun. I call it textured because I had big (non-frizzed) curly and when I roll it up into a sock bun the outside of the bun has a much more varied texture compared to the smooth outcome usually anticipated.

Foxes, is like my new fave female pop star. I LOVED her tunes with Zedd and Fall Out Boy. Then there was her solo effort Youth, liked that natch. And now she has Let Go For Tonight ready to drop in 2014. She just seems so cool and cute. Can't wait for the inevitable album!

Big New Blue Coat

Hey Guys!

New Coat Alert Here! I have managed to acquire a rather large collection of coats this autumn winter season. I managed to buy myself two new coats in as many months! This means in total I have brought a total of 5 coats with me to Uni. Who needs 5 coats?! Apparently Row Bow does. It’s so that I have one to go with every outfit.

This new toasty beaut is from Tesco, surprisingly. My other big pink duffel-like coat is from there too. They are pretty cheap from there too, especially when they are reduced as mine were. This blue one was only £15! I saw it on another bloggers blog and thought I have to have it. Unfortunately I can’t remember who had it first, but if I come across her I’ll be sure to let you know. I love the oversized lapels, it makes me feel so grown up in my smart new jacket. The coat also came in a Black or Red colour, but I have a black relaxed coat. This blue was just so bold and needed as a new colour in my wardrobe! Even though it's Tesco, don't knock it 'til you've tried it. It's pretty darn cosy in there!

I wore the clothes underneath the coat to work and thought I might as well let you see those as well since you're here! The top is a new sale purchase from New Look and I think the cooler colours of the threads gives the tribal zig-zag pattern a cool winter feel. I kept the rest of my outfit plain and neutral with black leggings and white trainers. The silver necklace and silver studs on the shoes tie in with the silver/grey on the top. Looking back on these photos I think that the top might be a little too short to wear with only leggings pulled up. It just accentuates wide hips and gives a chunkier appearance to my legs. Maybe if I'd have worn the leggings a little lower and flaunted my tum, it would have looked more in proportional. But it is December and I'm not quite that brave!

Tartan Take Two

Hey Guys!

Tartan is a super trend this Autumn/Winter season so here is another Row Bow take on the trend. I wore this outfit to work and it's a little different to the vision of colour I usually am (I've genuinely had parents comment on the vision of colour I am-somebody notices!). I've defo got a more mature Row Bow look going on here. Anyone else feeling that?

The dress is my Karma Clothing tartan bodycon dress as featured here and here. Since I've teamed it with the large black jumper it looks like a skirt here. When the jumper is in full length finishes below past my bum, so it's actually quite long. And it's only a Tesco School uniform top! To tackle this problem, because only a couple of inches of the skirt would have been visible if I'd have left it that long, I decided to fold the jumper in upon itself and belt it in place. This has resulted in a peplum effect. Ohh, how creative Row Bow! I've gone for thick black tights and dolly shoes to complete the look.

Row Bow loves her bling and the necklace worn with this outfit doesn't come much blingy-er! I wore the look to uni the next week and during a styling practical lesson the teacher whipped it off me and on the model it went! What a vicious industry I'm going to be working in!

I'm such a child deep down inside, I love my hair like this. I tend to so for a bit-up-bit-down hair style if I'm not really thinking about it. But this hair style wears the bit-up a little higher than normal and brings back more child-like pineapple hair memories the higher it goes. #lovinglife

Loving the autumn colours of the leaves, they coordinate with my dress so well!

Little Library Look

Hey Guys!

This is what Row Bow wears when she goes for a cheeky Sunday trip to the library. Everyone knows its the place to be on a Sunday!

I adore the shape of this H&M skirt, the waist band means the fabric sits to conform perfectly to the skater style that I love so much. I've teamed it with my purple bodycon dress, which means I'm extra toasty! It's waay too cold to wear without anything on my legs so I went with leggings here. It looks good as it keeps the dark tone throughout more of the look and allows the white skirt to catch everyone's attention. This is a new necklace which I purchased from Boots since it was reduced. They have a good selection so whenever its reduced I'm on it like a car bonnet! It would be nicer if it kept the shape around collar bone, but hey you can't have it all.

Hands up if you remember Aiden Grimshaw? The one from X Factor who the judges decided wasn't worthy to stay up against Katie Waissel.Yep, that's the one. Well good for him he's still pushing through getting his new music out there. His first track Is This Love? was my jam and he's had a few since then and his newest song is Better Man. Sticking with the dancey beat Aiden sings about convincing his ladyfriend to come back.

Mix-and-Match Pattern and Print

Hey Guys!

A little more dressing up Row Bow stylee here. Not that I've actually worn this anywhere but if I'm in desperate need of a new look, e.g when somebody else turns up in the same outfit as me (not that that ever happens!), I know where to look.

I never used to be a mix-and-match-my-pattern-and-print kinda gal, but Woah, look at me now! I think that the mismatched combination works because the top, although is a bold leopard print, sticks to a monochrome pallet. This allows for all the colour and action on the skirt to be the 'Ohh la la' in the look. There isn't much other styling to the look because of the intense combo of prints. A small necklace would get lost in the look and anything chunky or dainty around the wrists would clutter the appearance.
The shoes are pretty cool with their studs and all, but as they are pale the almost blend in against my pale legs and take tones from the black and white top.

I'm feeling a little wild lion hair going on here, a la Little Mix'x Jesy circa 2011/12. Speaking of those Little Mixers I really like their new tune, Little Me. It's an uplifting, 'You can do it kind!' of affair. I'd call it the Change Your Life of the Salute Alumb. But I've not heard the whole thing yet so that's still up for debate. I've heard some great reviews of the album and I loved (still do love) Move, so I best give it a listen soon!

We'll Be Counting Stars...

Hey Guys!

Monochrome is a continued trend from Spring/Summer, so here is my Autumn/Winter take on the trend. I've chosen two patterned pieces which would normally appear to clash. But because they stick to the black and white colour pallet they just seem to have the inverted pattern of each other. I'm wearing my New look , Cameo Rose Label, letter print pinafore and my star print sheer top from Kylie at M&Co. The thin tights mirror the sheer quality of the top, but a more opaque pair would suit also.
You might recognise my headband as a necklace that I have put in my hair instead, Cheeky! I was inspired by Frank Strachan's work on Abi Alton's hair in week 1 of The X Factor. He sculpted an oversized Topshop necklace into a dazzling hair piece.

So I decided to give it my own little spin and pop this chunky jewelled necklace across my bonce. The white tint on the gems matches the white speckled stars across the top and the base of the dress. I really liked the appearance of the tiara like accessory. All the kids thought I looked like a beautiful princess! Don't I just?

Pretty Colours

Hey Guys!

As I write this I am sat on the floor of the train journey home. Mmmmm... Hygienic! But being all cool and alternative and sitting on the floor is just the way I roll!

This colourful look was a number I wore to work last week and even my boss thought it was a lovely look. Appaz I was in the flow of dancing with the kids but she did comment in how wonderful all my colours went together. Because the red top has beautiful sequin details on the shoulders, I hardly ever put it on. It means that I'd have to hand wash it and I am not up for that so much. #effort! I think that the specific tones the red and purple compliment each other so well, they make me feel all Christmassy. Yay! I added a more plum toned purple scarf to give the outfit a little new depth. I like the look with black tights and black shoes ( and a black cardi out of shot) but I think bare legs/ tan tights would work well too. (Uh-oh! The Wonderful Thing About Tigger's just came on shuffle. I'll try to keep my joyous excitement contained while I'm on the train!)
I kept my jewellery very simple because the sparkly shoulders did a lot of the talking for me. I am wearing my little horseshoe pendant necklace so there was some sort detail in the gaping space there. This matches with the silver belt I wrapped around my waist. If I'd have gone a totally gold be I'd literally have been the walking definition of Christmas. Hehe!

Personally, I know I am late on this, I think Eminem's newest song with Rihanna is actually really good. I haven't quite wrapped my mouth around all I the gangsta rap yet- but it's only a matter of time before I'll be waxing lyrical! The chorus is really catchy and sounds quite contained for Rihanna actually. I like the subtler sound.

Crazy Cat Lady

Hey Guys!

Today's look is from a week ago when I met Rihanna's stylist. Cray cray I know right! She is so lovely and her career has been built in pure drive (with a strong sprinkling of luck!) . Avigail travels with and dresses Rihanna for her European dates and appearances. Initially, he began fashion design and it was during her final proj at uni she set up her own label of leather jackets. She managed to get a response from an important lady at MTV and it all took off from there. It sounds like the stuff dreams are made of doesn't it? One day I'm hoping to 'bump' (I really mean casually purposefully crash into) Johnny Wujek (Katy Perry's stylist) and he'll let me dress Katy for her tours. So, y'know, Johnny if you're out there Holla me up! Avigail also dresses Eliza Doolittle, Pixie Lott and Jessie Ware. She wore a very Jessie style ensemble web we met her, with black trousers and black vest top with an oversized white shirt over the top. Appaz they've been friends for a while so web Jessie needed a look she went to Avigali for advice. Again, any of my buds, you need a new look just Holla at me!

When I was getting my shizz together in the morning I didn't know the lady I was going to met was best of buds with Rihanna. So I'll admit I did look more childlike than chic. But her I'm a Katy-kat, #represent! I didn't relate how many different leopard print pieces I have and all the different colour ways they're in! I teamed my pale grey leopard print elasticated waist skirt with my monochrome leopard print wooly jumper. What I left out of the outfit was the green and pink leopard print scarf and regular leopard print brown boots that I also own. I think because the colour schemes if the top and skirt bled well together the print doesn't seem so intense or overpowering. I have been waiting for the perfect moment to whip out my floral car ears. I wore bright pink lipstick to complement the pink flowers. But I the in should have gone for a paler pink lippy and heavier eye makeup. Sometimes I feel my face ad features just look so flat that they NEED some sort of definition. As the print of my look is quite full on, I left the jewellery so not to create clutter in the look.
