Werkin'!

Hey Guys!
I had been eyeing up these shoes in Primarni for what felt like a really long time. I was waiting until they were in the sale but I'm not sure they ever will be! There are other pairs like them reduced, but they're not the same! They are...get ready for it... Camouflage Wedged Trainers with laces and straps and golden studs and they are soooooo cool! I adore them and they didn't hurt once when I was at work. It was when I got home an put my foot on a flat floor they were a little achy. But hey, you have to suffer for you're fashion!
This is the outfit I teamed them with for work. The shirt is from an art project, but I though my handy work was rather dashing and decided to keep for my own wardrobe. It used to be a mock-denim shirt. Really it's a blue light weight cotton. I CAREFULLY flicked bleach all over the top which lead to the white splodges. The front splodges are pretty cool since they have a pink haze around them. but then the back ones are just pure white splodges. I think that look has the risk of looking terrible 90's with the bleach and denim, but I'm thinking I've managed to pull it off!
I'm wearing my spiked necklace which fits around and underneath the collar really well. The top actually only buttons to the top of the chest, so I've placed a crafty safety pin to secure the top and make it sit better under the necklace. Also, got my snazzy new watch on. Living the high life being able to tell the time whenever I want! HeHe!
J'adore Union J's new song, Carry You! Literally can't get enough of it. I love how it's actually pretty meaningful but they don't go crazy on the vocals and it's still pretty poppy. I've come up with my own nicknames for them, like the Spice Girls. I've got (vocal) Powerhouse J (I'm sure I sound like him in the shower), Pouty J (werkin' it), Curly J (bouffant to match mine) and Quiffy J ( I think he's my fave, but they're all pretty lovely!).
Boom!

Festival Fashion

Hey Guys!

Since it was such a lovely day today, I thought I'd try out some festival fashion.

Shorts are the staple item to pack for a festival (girls and guys). Why? 1) They are sooo versatile, come rain or sun and 2) Fingers crossed it will be sunny and you can cool down with your legs out. I've teamed my shorts with a baggy, loose fitting pale peach top. It is actually a few sizes too big for me which is how I achieved the baggy look. At this festival it's super sunny (as you can see from my pics!), but I don't want to burn so I've accessorised with a plaid shirt. For now it's wrapped around my legs, but when you're partying along to live music it's easy to forget how long you've been out in the sun! So by having it around your waist all day you can wear it 2 ways for extra protection. Since it's sooo sunny here I had to put on my heart-shaped sunglasses. I love experimenting with quirky sunglasses and these screamed 'Row Bow buy me'. So I did! Since festivals can get pretty muddy and it's hard to get girly when you have mud splattered up your legs. So I've added a feminine floral garland around my head to keep the look cute.

Uh-Oh! It's started to get overcast at my festival (although you wouldn't guess from my photos!). As I emerged from my tent, or rather glampervan, I saw that today wasn't going to be as sunny as I'd hoped. So I've layered leggings under the shorts and wore my shirt as part of the look. Now I've got my trendy floral mac tied around my hips, so if it should start to precipitate I'm prepared without having to run back to my tent! I've also put a hat on to protect my hair and head from the rain. But I've kept the floral garland over the top, so when my friends are on the look out for a certain Row Bow, they can easily spot me from the garland. It's a good idea to wear something that your group can easily identify you by in a crowd.

Wellies are the only footwear to have at a festival! There's more grass at my festival than normal, but that pesky mud always makes an unwelcome appearance. Why not decorate you wellies with acrylic paint, a furry trim, or stick on jewels from some old necklaces. Charity shops are a great place to find some fabulous festival frills! This way you know you'll be the only one with your own unique style. (Also your friend won't embarrassingly bear hug someone with the same top on at you, then realise it really isn't you!)

Enjoy you festivals, if you've got any planned! If not, pop up the tent in front of the telly and enjoy a comfortable festival experience with an indoor toilet!

Cover Me In Designer, Baby!

Hey Guys!
Today it was a family trip to Bicester Village, which is FULL of designer shops. They're all the outlet shops, but they were still a little too pricey for me though! I go to one in Edinburgh which is really good, but I just didn't find anything for me today. Although I have decided that the Cath Kidson shop is where I'm going to stock up on my Art Uni supplies. Lots of big bags and pencil cases size pieces.
This is what I wore today since the weather has been a lot sunnier the past few days. But it did get a wee bit chillier towards the end of the day so I had to pop on my hoodie over the top. I really like this khaki shirt dress, but it's shorter at the back than the front (Who would do such a thing?). It makes me more self conscious when bending over, not that there is a lot of bending over in my regular activities!? I can wither wear it open as an over sized shirt. Which I would wear with leggings and a white/black vest top. Or I like to wear it as the full dress, seen below, belted at the waist. Because the sleeves are short but tall, the belt create the illusion of a smaller waist as it's visually compared to the shoulders. I'm not a fan of buttoning it up to the top because my head looks really funny when i do this! I was thinking black dollie shoes, but the brown Dollie shoes add a little more interest and ties in well with the brown belt.
I've got a super cute metallic green eyeliner, which is a little different. but you can't see I'm wearing it here. Sadface! I also had subtle hints of a darker red lipstick, as the warm hue went well with the browns. But that had worn off buy the time I took this. Maybs over me reeaaaalllllllllllllllyyy long summer, I'll do some make-up things?
I love Selena Gomez's new tune- Come and Get it. It's dropped a little early which means I'll probs have overplayed it and got bored of it buy the time it was actually meant to come out! I'm confused as to whether it's with 'the Scene' or if it's just Sel herself. I think it's a solo effort and that's what the single artwork says. Let's go with that. It's not like any of her disney-pop tunes. More RiRi-style peeps are saying!
Oh, just me stood outside Gucci with 'all my purchases' (Promise it's Gucci, stupid, but gorgeous, hanging baskets)!

Sporty Florals

Hey Guys!
I had to make a little trip into town today to return my sisters birthday present. I thought I'd done so well getting her a grown up, snazzy watch! But she failed to mention it didn't work until Dad had adjusted the strap. When I left the shop with the replacement I pushed the little button at the side in, to make sure it was working before I even left this time! My watch is still dandy! Dad said the lady at the till in the shop was checking out my nails. (They're still stripey) She was obvz well jel!
I'm really unimpressed that it started snowing AGAIN today! I managed a trip to the bank yesters in only one layer of leggings and a shirt dress! But today I had to wrap up warm for my trip today. I adore the trousers, with their large floral print. I don't find many of the tops in my wardrobe work well. A white top isn't the best so I usually team it with a black vest or half sleeve t-shirt. Since I needed a jacket to keep me warm, I grabbed this one which was out. I think that it actually works really well. I like that it's not matchy-match! I've been wondering about how to update my baseball jacket look, and I think that is perfect! I was late on the Baseball jacket bandwagon anyway, but now I can get more use from it whilst still keeping it totally 2013! To keep with the "sports" vibe of the jacket, I wore my old school trainers, which are totally white and rounded.
Also... who likes my hair? Look how long it is! I thought it was going to be really pleasant for the next few days so I straightened it. But then it snowed, so I've no idea how long my hair will last before it gives into the pressure to curl!
I don't know where the urge came from, but yesterday I suddenly felt like listening to The Saturday's- Turn Myself In. It's the B-Side to their 30 Days tune. I switch it up a little between the live version and studio version. The live one is really good!

Stripy Disco Nail Art

Hey Guys!
I was in for the long run at the computer yesterday as I decided it was time to get working! But as I am easily distracted and I happen to have a vast collection of nail varnishes at the compter, I painted my nails while I was there. Making the most of my time! I was very good and i did add a fair bit of work to my research file. It just could be more. But where's the fun in getting all your work done at once, spread the joy around I say!
I even remembered to take photos of each step this time, and I took a honker of a final look piccy!

 1. Pink Nail polish- All About Face Vibrant Pink
Left Finger- Place thing strips of sellotape to cover area you was to be in the other colour.
Middle Finger- Paint all over the sellotaped nail and remove sellotape strips swiftly.
Right Finger- It should look like this!

After all nail have completed step 1, your hands should look like this! I went over all my nails with a clear top coat at this point, so the sellotape woun't damage the paint later. LEAVE TO DRY!

 2. Glittery Silver Nail polish- BarryM Limited Edition Silver Glitter
Left Finger- Place thing strips of sellotape over the pink stripes so they don't get glitterfied!
Middle Finger- Paint all over the sellotaped nail and remove sellotape strips swiftly. I thyink if I had a silver metalic base it woul have worked better. As here I have applied very thick layers to get lots of glitter.
Right Finger- Finished! Once dried, more top coat (folding aroudn to the back of the nail to secure your beautiful art work!

And the beauty shot with finished nails! Work that neck!
